On June 3, 2010, our math teacher Ms. Kwon received the Outstanding Teacher of the Year 2010 award from Education Update, an award-winning newspaper covering a range of topics on education. Schools Chancellor Klein, as well as 11 teachers and 12 administrators from schools across the City received honors for being outstanding educators. Education Update has galvanized the education, corporate and philanthropic communities to recognize teachers and administrators who have made extraordinary contributions to the lives of children in New York City. The Distinguished Leaders in Education ceremony began eight years ago, and was held at the Harvard Club this year. Parents and colleagues come from around the nation to show their support in what has become an annual event.
